Acupuncture
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture. This is probably the most commonly taught practiced in the United States. It's is a combination of Chinese medical practices and Western science. It was to intended to contain the best of both cultures.

Dr. Howard's somewhat unique method of treatment. He integrates concepts of Richard Tan's Balance Method acupuncture with palpation as an assessment and preliminary treatment to produce a style of acupuncture which emphasized the patient's experience with a goal of quick clinical results.
Non-needle Modalities
The term "acupuncture" is somewhat misleading because it includes modalities lacking needles and puncturing. This includes:

Cupping- a cup is placed on the skin with the air removed.

Gua Sha (also called "scraping" or "coining")- a smooth flat surface is stroked across the skin.

Ear seeds- seeds, metal balls or magnets applied to the ear acupuncture points.

Note: insurers only consider modalities using needles as acupuncture. Therefore these services are excluded from covered services.
Microneedling (comming soon)
Microneedling for facial treatment. It is a modality where a device comparable to a tattoo gun. This treatment is often combined with other modalities and treatments. Topicals are readily absorbed through the tiny holes in the skin.
