Feel Better Your Way
Acupuncture is an inherently flexible system of treatment to help you achieve your health goals.
Acupuncture Treatment
Do you want an occasional treatment for the discomfort of the day? Experience relief from neck pain one day, allergies another day and anxiety another day. Request a general treatment to treat "everything". These are independent "one-and-done" treatments.
Acupuncture Therapy
Are you ready to commit to a series of treatments with specific measurable objectives? Are you ready to participate in your own health? A structured course of treatment begins and ends with an evaluation to determine how to proceed.
Optimistic Approach to Care
At Brightwaters acupuncture there is an emphasis on feeling good. This "optimistic" approach to acupuncture care brings attention to reduction of discomfort and positive experiences. At Brightwaters Acupuncture, feeling good is a goal as important as feeling less uncomfortable.
Striving for Success
What exactly do you want from acupuncture care? Or any health care? What are you willing to do to achieve your health goal(s)?
At Brightwaters Acupuncture, specific goals are discerned before treatment begins. This is a worthwhile investment of time. Otherwise, how can you achieve one goal if you are working towards a different one, change it too early or have conflicting goals?
We want our patients to succeed.
Dr. Howard teaches "SMART Notes for Patient Management"- goal oriented documentaion- as an NCCAOM approved continuing education course at www.acupuncturescholar.com.
Evidence Based Medicine Approach to Care
Evidence based medicine (EBM) uses current respected research and clinical experience to provide effective care. This allow us to focus on what is best for the patient and what is reliably predictable. My Patient, My Teacher and the Four Gates.
Measurements are an important part (EBM). Before and after treatment measurements are performed where possible. Very often, measurable changes occur by the end of treatment.
Brightwaters Acupuncture uses the evidence based approach to contribute to the profession. Quality of care is emphasized as techniques and methods evolve and are published and taught to advance the profession and improve care.
