What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a form of treatment where hair-thin needles are applied to specific points on the body for therapeutic purposes.  It's origins are from ancient China.  Treatment is commonly sought for pain reduction, stress/anxiety relief, digestive and menstrual issues to name a few types of  ailments.

Acupuncture is not limited to the use of needles.  It also includes but not limited to cupping (the use of cups with the air removed to promote circulation) and moxibustion (burning of an herb to warm and reduce symptoms).
